British-trained architect, based in San Francisco, with thirty years of experience in architecture, interior design and contract administration. A senior architect at design firms serving major corporate clients including Oracle, Deloitte, California Department of General Services and other Healthcare providers.

Healthcare Facilities:  Cannon Design LA on a 500,000sf hospital extension in San Diego. Contract Document Quality Control and Coordination of MEP, structural and other engineering consultants. Working with and mentoring the REVIT/BIM team. Resolution of significant technical, constructibility and aesthetic issues before OSHPD submittal.

Corporate Interiors:  Providing direction for solid construction documentation that can be readily understood and implemented during the Contract Administration period. Maintaining a stress-free environment for the entire project team by having diligent architectural oversight and frequent, well documented, on-site communication.

Equestrian Estate:  Design Architect and Construction Manager of a European-style, lakeside equestrian estate in Austin, Texas, featuring a substantial stone house, a stables complex and extensive hard landscaping on the 30-acre site. Resolution of sustainability issues resulted in the implementation of deep-well geothermal air conditioning, the use of local natural materials and high-efficiency insulation throughout.

Historic Buildings and Conservation:  Commissions completed in England and France involving renovations of ancient stone buildings, from medieval homes to rural barns and a water mill. My design intention has always been to respect the original building's vernacular context while creating modern alternatives that re-energize them. Project photographs shown here are accompanied by some of my hand drawings.
